Institutional Information

Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Faculty of Tourism, has been continuing its educational activities since 1992 in Çanakkale Central Terzioğlu Campus.

Our faculty, with its thirty years of experience, competent academicians and administrative staff, has given more than 2,100 graduates to date and has gained an important place in the tourism sector.

Our faculty's departments are as follows:
- Tourism Management
- Travel Management and Tourism Guidance
- Gastronomy and Culinary Arts

Our students who graduate from their departments have the opportunity to pursue careers in various fields of tourism, which is one of the most important and open to development sectors of today and the future, in the country and abroad.

In addition to a four-year university education, our faculty has master's and doctoral programs in different fields.

In addition to the vocational courses required by the industry, our students learn English by taking an intensive curriculum, and are also prepared for professional life by having the opportunity to learn German, Russian, Japanese, French and Italian as a second foreign language.

With Erasmus+, Mevlana and Farabi student exchange programs, our students can spend a part of their education life in another country and university and gain new experiences.

Our mission is to serve the development of the country by raising entrepreneurial individuals who have the theoretical and practical infrastructure to meet the needs of tourism enterprises, who have experience in the tourism sector, who closely follow current developments and who contribute to scientific development, and who will produce solutions to the problems of the sector, who know how to apply, and who closely follow technological developments.

Our vision is to be an entrepreneurial and innovative faculty that has national and international recognition, is preferred, produces information with high added value, can direct economic, social and cultural development, and whose graduates are active in the management levels of businesses operating in the tourism sector.

In the information age, where technological developments develop at a dizzying pace and new applications and ways of doing business emerge every day, many professions that are popular today are candidates for extinction or to lose their importance in the future.

However, thanks to the increasing leisure time, increasing income level, and rapid developments in transportation and communication technologies, more and more people participate in tourism activities at home and abroad every year and take a longer vacation. The tourism industry will continue to grow and diversify around the world in the future. These developments will also provide great opportunities for tourism graduates who follow the growth and developments in national and international tourism closely and prepare themselves for the sector.

We will be happy to see you, our valuable young people, who want to step into university life and make a career in the Tourism Industry.
